What do Qadha and Qadar mean?

What do Qadha and Qadar mean? answer: Believing in Qadha and Qadar is one of the Islamic beliefs which has been mentioned in the Quran and traditions. But the real meaning of them should be explained not to be considered as compulsion or divestment of authority. Qadar means measuring things. According to this verse the Exalted God has created everything according to a measure: “Surely We have created everything according to a measure.”(1) Qadha means reaching a goal while human’s will is also effective in doing that. In fact when human chooses an act to do, causes a definite goal to happen.(2)
